Latest Report: Global Peace Index 2016

The 2016 Global Peace Index (GPI) shows the world became less peaceful in the last year, reinforcing the underlying trend of declining peace over the last decade. Results also show a growing global inequality in peace, with the most peaceful countries continuing to improve while the least peaceful are falling into greater violence and conflict.

The 2016 GPI report provides a comprehensive update on the state of peace. It shows that amidst the global deterioration the world continues to spend enormous resources on creating and containing violence but very little on peace.

Action on Societal Violence- KAFA

Action on Societal Violence- KAFA was established as nonprofit in 2012 in response to increasing tendencies towards violence in Jordan. KAFA works towards a society where men and women, young and old do not "look back in anger or forward in fear", but around in security; where conflict is resolved peacefully and no guns are raised. KAFA's mission is to reduce societal violence by bringing the issue into the spotlight, encouraging democratic values, conflict prevention and transformation, dialogue and mediation and promoting non-violent means of resolution.
